Season begins
Appears two Acer seeds have germinated and i only brought the trays in on Sat. Both trays are in humid condition in propagator but am very surprized at earley germination. Packet refers to spasmodic germination over 9 to 12 months and both trays hold 5 seed,s each. Started the process on 6th of october 2011, in 3 stages, soaking, then humid conditions, then extreme cold for 8 wks. Both trays in warmth now. Very excited will keep all posted on progress. Sweet stray becomes the cat they’ll never forget
There was Moshke the hit man, so named because the feral demon appeared for dinner every night, beating up every animal in sight before eating, then leaving. Zephyr was a good-natured and extremely talented thief. He revealed his skill one day when I brought home a shrink-wrapped pack of lamb chops. When I was ready to cook them, I discovered that the fully sealed packet contained not four, but two chops. How could this be? Upon inspection, I found a razor-thin slice along the edge of the packet; Zephyr had surgically opened the packet, slipped his greedy paw in and swiped a couple of chops.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas ….
Just a week to go & no tree in the house yet … busy making drapes for a front room. But have managed to do a bit more decorating, as my OH scrambles about in the loft with a dodgy painful knee, trying to find the boxes which contain all the glittery stuff …. I’m still in the recovery phase of my gall bladder surgery, so not much help with the scrambling about on my hands & knees & shifting heavy boxes about. About half of U.S. pet owners will buy holiday gifts for their pets this year, according to an Associated Press-Petside.com poll conducted in October.
Sixty-eight percent of pets will get toys, and 45 percent will get edible treats.
Spending is predicted to be up slightly, with shoppers likely to spend an average of $46 on gifts for pets compared to $41 last year.
