It seems more than a few days ago that the weather was warm, dry and sunny, as we’ve had strong winds and heavy rain downpours ever since.
I had much of the day to myself, no interruptions, just a note pinned to the front door for the postman, as I was anticipating a parcel from a GoYer! Pleased to say it arrived and the Postman, bless him, left it where I’d asked.
First task of the day was to trim the Pittosporum with the extending handled shears . first pic is as high as I could reach from the ground . hence the muffin top look!

and here’s the result after I’d stood on a solid garden chair . I know ‘elf and safety’ would have a fit but I can’t balance on steps or a ladder these days .

Then I divided a Heuchera to make four plants from one . kept two for myself

Cleaned the birdbath just in time for Mr & Mrs Blackbird to have a warm bath

Stopped to look at this hard working Bee

Checked the Penstemon seedlings are growing

and the cuttings of Pyracantha & Escallonia haven’t died off!

Filled up the feeders for the birds and just enough peanuts for Sid Squirrel . look at the almost ripe Plums too!

Cut some Sweet Peas for indoors

Penstemon ‘Garnet’ has survived the Winter to show it’s pretty flowers again

so has this Polemonium ‘Bambino Blue’

The Eucalyptus is thriving in the front garden

and the Hostas are loving their pots

I’m so glad I spent a few hours in the warm sunshine on Thursday morning . just waiting for it to return now.
