The Designer Gardens

The sun is a primary source of our energy. From sun its rays come towards the surface of our planet. At that time 30% of rays reflected back from outer atmosphere & the rest 70% reaches at our surface. Again it wants to reflect towards the upper atmosphere. This is called “Infrared Radiation”. The heat caused by radiation is absorbed by greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gas allows sunlight to enter the earth & at the time of return it absorbs the sunrays .Thus it keeps the planet warmer. Greenhouse gas is formed by many chemical compounds. Some common greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane etc. By using this mechanism now in different parts of the world people are engaged in greenhouse farming. The greenhouse cultivation is done within a transparent covered area. The area is covered by the transparent materials, like glass or plastic. Because the plants can easily absorb the sunray. Air inside the covered area becomes heated & retains the heat. Although the greenhouse glass is good for heating the greenhouse for growing plants, there is still a need for greenhouse heaters for ventilation. Greenhouse technology is most suited for the cultivation of vegetables & flowers. The main advantage of the greenhouse farming is that some types of crops can be grown throughout the year. A green house can be constructed in any area, whether it is metro city or it is desert. Green house farm is self contained. For the garden lovers greenhouse farming is the best choice. For making a greenhouse garden in front of your home you have to select a plot where the sunrays are easily available. Then cover the plot by transparent glass or plastic. You may apply your idea to design the glass house. However you have to take care to maintain the temperature & humidity at the required level & proper ventilation. At one time greenhouse gardening will be your hobby. Because it has some interesting features. Remember that the greenhouse gardening is completely different from conventional gardening.
