Despite what your English teacher might have said, we think that sometimes it’s good to get a little bit wordy. In this case, you can put the pen and paper aside and let two kinds of graphic wool pillows do the talking for your abode.
Spell it out with the Letter Pillow, $110, from Jonathan Adler. Displayed as a single initial or grouped together, these hand-loomed wool pillows have a classic, stately quality. Each capital letter, finished in a thick matching border, practically pops off the pillow. The word “LOVE,” each letter sold separately, comes in an intense backdrop of colored pillows in orange, green and yellow, blue, pink and purple. Or purchase any letter of the alphabet in black and natural. (The letters are also available in custom shades.) The colors are reversed on the flip side of each pillow. Pillows have down inserts and measure 16 by 16 inches.
The Alphabet Needlepoint Pillow from Pottery Barn Teen is also capable of making a statement but for only $29. This version measures a bit smaller at 10 by 10 inches but its quaint proportions agree with the featured traditional wool and cotton needlepoint embroidery style. Available in every letter of the alphabet, each lowercase black letter is set on a white background that’s finished with a simple black pipping. The reverse side of the pillow is ivory cotton canvas and the insert is polyester fill.
Uppercase or lower, either of these characters will say something about you.
