Random Recast: T-Shirts Day 2

In Random Recast, we find new uses for ordinary things. This week: T-shirts.

A tote bag that can stretch to fit anything from produce to flip-flops is yours when you start with a t-shirt. The tutorial, from Delia Creates, requires the bare minimum of cutting-and-stitching prowess. Basically, you cut a tote bag shape from an inside-out t-shirt like so:

The top curved edge will become the bottom of the bag. Sew this curved edge closed, turn right-side-out, then proceed to cut slits across the bag:
