It may not look like much at first glance, but the Dreipuls Rima Desk Lamp is one intelligent piece of illuminating technology. The entire length of the horizontal bar is a series of 65 LEDs that can be subdivided into separate and smaller sections of light.

The Dreipuls Rima Desk Lamp is particularly clever because of its mundane inspiration; the concept of curtains on a rod. With optical sensors surrounding each ring, the metal bands control the number and length of light segments, just like the sun coming through the blinds.
