Pryor Residence by Bates Masi Architects

Posted by Stefanie Gonzales in Home Improvement World

Bates Masi Architects have designed the Pryor Residence in Montauk, New York.

A departure from typical residential planning, the house is entered through multiple areas for different guests and occasions. Large glass doors slide open to the living, dining and kitchen area for a large gathering; a smaller scaled swing door for an occasional guest opens to the center hall with a view of the ocean. Random Recast: T-Shirts Round-Up

Posted by Stefanie Gonzales in Home Improvement World

In this (short) week’s Random Recast, we found new ways to use old t-shirts.

It doesn’t do what it says on the tin!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Raymond Mueller in Gardening Today

Had a few surprises with plant purchases lately bought an Etoile de Hollande supposedly a deep crimson red but it has flowered pink/corally red and I bought four clematis to go down the left hand side of the garden all different colours was really delighted when one flowered purple as it should but the one next door but one has also started flowering purple:( Will most probably take my friend Louisettes advice and only buy plants when they are in flower so I actually see what colour they are. Thats my rant over:)

If the weather cheers up I am going to plant some Cosmos seeds in the front garden packet says all different colours so safe with that lol!

Have a lovely weekend GOYers. Read more…

We sometimes don’t get to spend as much time as we’d like planting and caring for our beloved dahlias, because it just so happens that dahlia season is the same time as tomato season. Lucky for us, we had a little help from our friend, Millie, or as we like to call her, the “Dahlia Queen.”

Millie was gracious enough to donate some of her and her friends’ prized bulbs for us to plant on our hillside outside our pasture fence.
