DAYTON — Traffic has been shut down between Stanley Avenue and Leo Street while Dayton firefighters battle a structure fire.

Firefighters were called to the old Royal Motel at 1450 North Keowee Street after receiving a report of the fire at 5:35 a.m., according to a Regional Dispatch Center sergeant.

The motel is vacant. No injuries have been reported.

Arson investigators have been called to the scene.
