For the first week in his new home, Marcel hid in the closet of our guest room. He wouldn’t let me touch him and ventured out only to eat and use his litter box. Later, usually in the early evening, he began exploring the room and checking us out before bolting back to his refuge. We looked forward to these times and called them the Kitty Happy Hour.
Eventually, Marcel started trusting me. He would circle my legs as I prepared his meal, looking at me with imploring eyes until I picked him up for a cuddle. He discovered treats and would smack his lips in anticipation of tuna.
Just giving you a heads up in case you don’t see me around for a while…I think the following photos will explain my temporary absence. Due to some very disturbing statements made by Scottish and Youngdaisyd on a previous pic, I have decided to keep a better eye on him as I believe these ‘ladies’ would swoop right in if they had a chance. Humph!!! I have also arranged a group date for Paul and Muddy as per their request. The venue has been chosen and unfortunately, it is too late at this time to include any more GoY members. Sorry. I would also like to clear up a rumour that my dream man pictured is actually our very own Pimp….my lips are sealed.
